Rachel began as a professional dancer, choreographer, and educator with a B.A. in Dance and Theatre from Manhattanville College, Cum Laude 2016. She began dancing at the age of 3, and competed regionally and nationally from ages 6-18. Combining her passions of dance and fitness lead her to dive into Group Fitness Classes of Pilates, Barre, and Cardio Dance, as well as her Private Pilates Sessions. In 2020 she became certified in Barre, and added Pilates Mat through Equinox in 2021. 2022 brought her to go deeper into becoming Comprehensively Certified in Classical Pilates Apparatus through Equinox’s Pilates Education lead by Carrie Macy Samper. Rachel became a Top 5 Performer for Equinox’s New York Metro Group Fitness Instructors in 2023, and a Top 50 Senior Pilates Instructor in 2024 for Equinox Private Pilates nationwide. Off Broadyway Credits include: Assistant to the Choreographer for Manhattan Theatre Club, Signature Theatre, and Hartford Stage. Rachel is the former Assistant Studio Director of No Limits Performing Arts Studio, where she now continues to work as a Lyrical teacher, aiming to guide her students to strength, flexibility, technique, creativity, and the confidence to collaborate in life and in the arts.

Body Language by Rachel LLC, stemmed from Rachel’s exploration and experience with the amazing community of movers she has been grateful to get stronger with throughout the past decade and beyond. She has taken every moment before and after a workout or dance class to consider what music created responses, what cues shed light on new ranges, and what atmosphere seemed to naturally invite all people into the space to try their best each day. Her clients and students are her friends, inspiration, and joy. Rachel is thrilled to bring Body Language Fitness to you as a studio where movement can feel like luxury and a necessity. Stronger, longer, confident body language represents the work you do for an hour in the studio to create a noticeable presence in the energy you bring to holding your head up high, walking with purpose, and feeling good in your mind & body connection.
